But all great things start somewhere!
I have a deep-rooted passion for the great outdoors (yes, including the John Candy movie!). Over the years, spending time in nature has made it clearer than ever that our planet needs small acts of kindness from many of us if it’s to recover.
Our environment is struggling, and while planting ten trees for every wedding I film might only be a small gesture in the grand scheme of things, it’s a meaningful start. Each tree helps to offset the carbon footprint created when I travel to and work on your wedding film, contributing to the balance between creativity and care for the planet.
But it doesn’t stop there. I’m continuously exploring new and more sustainable ways to reduce my impact — from greener travel options to more environmentally friendly production practices. This is an ongoing journey, not a one-time pledge, and I’m committed to finding ways to make every film I create as planet-friendly as possible. So, watch this space.
I think my love for nature began on a camping weekend in The Mumbles, Wales. I stayed at a beautiful clifftop campsite overlooking the ocean, with views stretching as far as the eye could see. Golden sunsets, rugged coastal walks, the sound of the waves below — it was there that I first realised just how breathtaking our planet is, and how important it is to protect it.
That first experience sparked something in me. It’s what drives my commitment to offset my own carbon footprint, and it’s where my passion for exploring every nook and cranny of this incredible country truly began.
Outside of wedding filmmaking, one of my favourite things to do is create simple, single-shot nature reels. Every holiday I take in the UK becomes an opportunity to capture more moments of natural beauty and add to my growing collection. Here are a few for you to enjoy.
